Three spot fires broke out in Christmas Hill Park Monday
afternoon.
Gilroy firefighter Bernhard Szilagyi soaks down one of three spot fires that broke out in Christmas Hill Park Monday afternoon. The first two were about 100 yards south of Miller Avenue between the levee and the creek. The third burned an area near the police stables on the ranch side of the park. A witnesses said he saw kids in the area at the time of the fires, and the cause is under investigation, said Gilroy Fire Department Division Chief Clay Bentson.
