Steve Lemberger and Gary Tognetti lofted home runs and Duffy Kline produced three singles for the unbeaten Electricians. Lemberger began a 4-for-4 night with a three-run homer in the first inning. Shane Caspary and Mario Castro each netted three hits for 1-3 Victory Outreach.
Whiplash scored one run in the bottom of the eighth inning to earn an 8-7 win over the Assassins.
Mario Silva doubled Jose Cortez to third base with one out in the Whiplash eighth. Juan Zavala singled across the winning run. Whiplash forced the extra inning when Tete Yevena singled and scored on a Jesus Perez double in the seventh stanza.
Mario Silva, Perez and Zavala each finished with three hits for 2-1 Whiplash. Scott Mead hit a home run and three singles, Jason Corona a two-run homer for the 2-2 Assassins.
Claddagh Brew Crew completed a 17-8 victory over the SVCC Thumpers by scoring eight runs in the top of the seventh inning. Parker Hathaway homered and John Weberg stroked three doubles ands a single for Claddagh. Mario Flores went 4-for-4 for the Thumpers.
Co-Rec C
Jose Serrano Trucking reached 3-0 in Co-Rec Winter C League play Thursday at Las Animas Park by topping the Big Kahunas 14-4.
Eddie Flores singled and tripled, Rick Trujillo singled and doubled in the Serrano performance. Mark Logan went 4-for-4 and scored twice for the Big Kahunas.
Michelle Marshall scored four runs and Kenny Hopf sprayed three singles to power A to Z past Cosa Nostra 14-10. Benny Naranjo doubled and tripled for the 2-1 winners. Louie Garcia powered two home runs and a triple for Cosa Nostra.
Men’s DDD
The Good Ole Boys struck for 15 runs in the first inning and held on to defeat the VFW Vets 22-18 in Men’s Winter DDD League play Wednesday at Las Animas Park.
George Perez and Dennis Bright each logged two singles in the Good Ole Boys first frame. Brian Stelling capped the rally with a two-run double.
Perez went 3-for-3 with a sacrifice fly for the 1-2 Boys. Robert Armendariz went 4-for-4 and Junior Espinoza went 3-for-4 for the VFW Vets.
The AAA-Cali Boys moved to 1-1 by outlasting the Loco Boys 12-10.
Art Del Valle delivered a triple and two singles to anchor the Cali Boys offense. Mike Preciado lashed a triple and single for the winners. Jimmy Castaneda went 3-for-3 and Daniel Fellows mustered two singles and scored three runs for the 2-1 Loco Boys.
The Titans joined the Loco Boys in second place at 2-1 with a 12-6 nod over Walton & Sons Masonry. Johnny Ramirez hit a single and double, tallying three Titan runs. David Rose added a single and double, Craig Courtney two singles and two RBI for the Titans. Jarrod Reeves went 3-for-3 and Geoff Graves went 3-for-4 for the Masonry (1-1) offense.
Men’s CCC
Louie & the Outlaws defeated Rhino Wiring 20-12 to move into a three-team tie for first place in the Men’s Winter CCC League Wednesday at Christmas Hill Park.
Rich Perez muscled two home runs and Joe Ojeda added a home run and two singles to ignite the 3-1 Outlaw attack. Josh Gonzalez stroked two doubles and a single, Marco Lopez a triple and two singles for the winners. Steve Aguirre and Louie Chavarria each went 4-for-4 for Rhino Wiring.
Hollister Motor Sports-Gilroy Steel moved to 3-1 with a 23-3 victory over Pacific Coast Bail Bonds.
Manny Juarez drove in four Motor-Steel runs with a home run, two doubles and a single. Matt Plesek added a triple, two doubles and a single, scoring four runs for the winners. T.J. Dickens went 5-for-5. Allen Hazelberg lined a two-run double for Pacific Coast Bail Bonds.
Neighborhood Pizza scored two runs in the top of the eighth inning to slip past the Platinum Roofing Slammers 18-16.
Jim McShane and Jay Suniga lined consecutive RBI-singles in the Neighborhood sixth stanza.
Robert Sanchez drove in five runs for the Pizzamen with a home run, triple and two singles. Suniga finished with four hits, David Sotelo a single and two doubles. Joseph Duran collected two hits for the Slammers.
