Dear EDITOR:
Hand across their hearts,
We fondly remember them all,
Brave men and brave women,
Each answering their call.
Dear EDITOR:
Hand across their hearts,
We fondly remember them all,
Brave men and brave women,
Each answering their call.
Proud to serve their country
They stood so tall and brave,
Not knowing or not caring,
It would be their lives they gave.
The bugles would blow taps,
But soldiers soon would find,
They longed to see the faces of
Their families left behind.
The flag flies overhead,
And they’d wipe their tired hands,
And pray that they would soon be seeing,
America’s beautiful lands.
We remember these good people,
On Veteran’s Day we sing,
“God Bless America!”
“And may our freedom ring.”
