Do you have a favorite club?
The one or two clubs that you love but you can’t hit the rest of your clubs. This may be a sign that you are swinging all the clubs from the same ball position and thus striking them at the same angle. Some clubs, the angle should be steeper when you strike the ball and others should be flatter.
Ball position dictates this angle.
The farther forward in the stance the ball is played then the flatter or more parallel to the ground the angle will be when it strikes the ball. The farther back in the stance the steeper the angle into the ball. Thus, you should hit your long irons and woods with an angle close to parallel with the ground because the ball position is forward. You should hit your shorter irons at a slight angel into the ground.
You can see this in the depth of your divots. Short iron divots should go deeper where you remove all the grass and even some roots. Mid iron divots you remove grass but no roots. Fairway woods you just skim the grass and virtually leave it there and your tee shot you make no ground contact.
The longer the club the more you should sweep it off the turf. The shorter the club the more you should strike the ball on the downswing and trap the ball between the turf and the clubface.
