counselor who died Feb. 23, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, March
7, at the United Methodist Church, 17175 Monterey Road.
A memorial service for Susan Lewis, a Live Oak High School counselor who died Feb. 23, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 7, at the United Methodist Church, 17175 Monterey Road.

Susan was a special education teacher at Live Oak High School from September 1988 until three years when she became a guidance counselor.

Born in Wichita, Kan., Susan grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia in a family that included brothers Robert, Richard and Jim Peavy. She also is survived by sons James, of San Carlos, and Matthew, of Boston. She was 59.

While a sophomore in high school, she met her future husband, Dan. They married following their graduation from Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio.

The family asks that any donations be made to Delta Kappa Gamma International, a women’s educational honor sorority, through Chi-State Life Foundation, 808 University Ave., Sacramento, CA 95825

Arrangments are under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
