Dr. Smith Red Demons 1, Purple Lightnings 1

–The Red Demons demonstrated good sportsmanship by playing only seven girls to make it even with the Lightnings – who were short players. The first half ended scoreless although Demons Lauren Block and Giordan Rojas both had some exciting shots on goal. Goalie Francesca Comin had little action in the goal box thanks to the great defense plays by Monique Kerstens and Jennifer Velasquez. Ashley McDermott demonstrated excellent ball handling in several steals and breakaways. The Lightnings scored first in the second half but great passes by Alex Rangel and Kate Wheat kept the Demons in scoring range and Briana Velasquez had a great goal attempt. The Red Demons scored late in the second half when Alli Unger dribbled the ball up the field along the side lines and passed it to Jessica Brager who took the pass and kicked it in to score.
