GILROY – With the 33rd Annual Ladies Tournament at the Gilroy Bowl already under way, from March 8-16, league action is heating up at the local lanes.

Terry Lee powered to a league-high 772 series with a 277 high in the men’s division, while Melissa Corral’s 690 series as well as a 258 high game bested the women’s division.

Jess Salazar’s 737 series and 279 high along with Ernie Long’s 734 series and 299 high also bolstered the men’s league standings. In addition, Greg Low (656 series, 279 high); Tony Bettencourt (664, 276); Del Corral (657, 266); Jim Bush (657, 246); Desmond Melia (655, 233); Bob Williams (678, 243); Scott Kawano (689, 266); and Jerry Dow (653, 258) all kept pace.

Rounding out the women’s league were: Joline Furuya (607 series, 203 high); Noni Haygood (599, 224); Doreen Fuentees (602, 223); Joyce Milla (561, 224); Kathy Bennett (630, 244); Cathy Baty (579, 215); Betty Maseun (551, 221); and Pat Haygood (563, 228).
