Thomas V. Rios Jr. passed away peacefully March 25, 2003, in San Jose. He was 75 years old.

Mr. Rios was born Oct. 13, 1927, in Brawley.

He was preceded in death by his wife Alicia Rios.

Thomas will always be remembered for his kindness, gentle nature, compassion for others and his devotion to his family and friends. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends and will never be forgotten. Mr. Rios loved to spend time with his family and friends at birthdays and parties as well as attending football and baseball games. Thomas was discharged from the Army Air Force in 1947. He worked for General Motors for 30 years and retired in 1982. He is survived by his two sons Thomas Rios III of Gilroy and James Rios of San Jose and daughter Victoria M. Rios of San Jose. He is the brother of Frank Rios of San Jose, Augustine Rios of Morgan Hill, Catherine Rios of San Jose and Theresa Vegerano of Pasadena. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Vigil Service will be Sunday at 5 p.m. at Habing Family Funeral Home. Services will start Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home then to St. Mary’s Church for a funeral mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Gilroy.
