Celebrate Victorian style
GILROY – The Gilroy Community Services Department invite you to “A Victorian Christmas” on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., at the Historic Willey Cultural Center and 1910 Carnegie Library Building, Fifth St. A special “Treasure Hunt” Tour of the Gilroy Museum, quilting display and sale, holiday keepsake and Victorian Tea are planned for the morning and afternoon celebrations. Claudia Salewske will be present to sign copies of her new book “Images of America.” Admission is $15 per person and $18 to nonresidents. Children 6 to 15 must be accompanied by an adult. GILROY – The Gavilan Rams football team will be playing Sierra College in the Capitol Shrine Bowl game on Saturday, Nov. 29, at noon, at Sacramento City College. Tickets are $10 each, a portion of which, when pre-purchased through Gavilan College Athletics, will help to offset the cost of participating in the bowl game. MORGAN HILL – Advent Lutheran Church, 16870 Murphy Ave., invites you to join them as the play excerpts from Handel’s ‘Messiah’ on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m. Instrumental and singing parts available. Church hosts feast
