Gilroy native Christopher D. Charvez died Nov. 8, 2003, at the age of 61.

He was preceded in death by his parents Christopher A. and Ann Charvez of Gilroy. He was the beloved husband of Bonnie Charvez, of San Jose, for 27 years.

Charvez is survived by his sons: Joe Charvez, of Campbell, Bryan Charvez and his wife Kelly, Michael Bandy and his wife Shelley, of Folsom; his daughters: Michele Bandy, of San Jose, and Nina Charvez Reed and her husband Jim, of Xenia, Ohio. He is also survived by his brother Alexander Charvez, of Anaheim; sister Muriel Owens with her husband Jerry, of Redding; and sister-in-law Doris Edwards, of Bakersfield. Charvez was a grandfather of many and uncle to many great nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Friday at noon, at the Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary, 466 North Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3 to 9 p.m. at the mortuary. Internment will be at Mission City Memorial Park.
