Gilroy. He was 73 years old.
Jose Jesus Guerrero passed away Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002 in Gilroy. He was 73 years old.
He was born March 3, 1929 in Robstown, Texas and lived in Gilroy for over 30 years. Jose was a Catholic and a member of St. Mary Church. He loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jose will be dearly missed by his loving family and all who knew him.
Jose was preceded in death by his father, Jose Maria Guerrero; mother Eusebia Borjas Guerrero; infant daughters Albertha and Consuelo Guerrero; sisters Jovita Segovia, Maria Carmen Garcia and Maria R. Alvarado.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years Albertha Cano Guerrero; daughters and spouses Antonia (Henry) Zapata, Blanca (Daniel) Suniga, Nora G. Lopez (Jose Vasquez); sons and spouses Jose Guerrero, Albino Guerrero all of Gilroy and Ricardo Guerrero of Stanfield, Oregon; 17 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brothers Antonio Guerrero of Dallas, Texas, Guadalupe Guerrero; sister Consuelo Oballe of Robstown, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Vigil Service is today, at 6 p.m. at Habing Family Funeral Home. Funeral Services begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 3, at the funeral home then to St. Mary Church for a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Gilroy.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Rudo of Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, Dr. Carrillo and staff of South County Dialysis and Dr. Samuel Wu, nurses and staff of Saint Louise Regional Hospital. Donations to the Kidney Foundation are preferred.
