Gav hosts Digital Media Lab open house
GILROY – The Gavilan College Digital Media and Computer Graphics and Design programs invite the public to the first hands-on open house in the Gavilan College Digital Media/Computer Graphics and Design Studio. Everyone is invited to explore and have fun with digital media and computer graphics. Attendees may bring a picture or home video to edit and convert to a video CD using the lab’s state-of-the-art computers (both Macs and PCs) and software. This event is free and open to the public. There will be no charge for parking. The open house will be at Room 171 in the Library building, Gilroy main campus, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd. from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 15.

Learn how to taste wine at Clos LaChance
SAN MARTIN – Increase your enjoyment of wine by learning how to really taste wine at an introduction to wine tasting. Attendees will learn how to identify and taste the difference in flavors and components found in their favorite Chardonnay or Cabernet Sauvignon. An introduction into the understanding of essences will be discussed.
