Dear Editor:

Mr. Brescoll needs to get a life! I mean honestly he shows his bias in every letter he writes. But, on the other hand, that’s what the opinion page is all about, so if he doesn’t want to get a life that’s ok, that’s what being an American citizen is!

And the Gilroy Dispatch is a great place to be American citizen soooooo please don’t be harsh on The Dispatch, it is a great local paper. Also, please don’t be harsh with Mr. Al Pinheiro. He has great values and courage and if elected, he will represent our city well. This is the first time, since Springerism, that I have felt comfortable in Gilroy.

I actually have no complaints about the council. They are all great! It is comforting to know that the people of Gilroy who “tapped” Mr. Pinheiro on the shoulder realize that some people just simply do not represent their interests well. I hope Craig Gartman takes this to heart. He has good ideas but he needs to follow his conscience not Springer’s machiavelianism. And the same for Mr. Bob Dillion, a classy articulate guy in his own right who is leaps and bounds above the soon to be former mayor. Plus, he knows how to throw a great election night party!

Peter Arellano is also a great guy. Although there are many different views I will no longer need to question the sincerity of those views! This will be a great election. And, if Guadalupe Arellano were not running, I would vote for Al. But Lupe is running. She will be a great asset. It will be nice that the stage will be set for a non-mudslinging election centered on political ideologies. Lupe ran a clean campaign last time receiving more votes than Springer – that should have told the voters something. Also, Lupe did not throw mud. This will be a great clean and clear election. Yes, I am thinking Gilroy is GREAT after all. Even Jay Baska is looking pretty darn good – after all he survived Springerism!
