Felix Luis Luna died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005 in Gilroy, after a
long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 60.
Felix Luis Luna died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005 in Gilroy, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 60.
Mr. Luna was born in Galveston, Texas and graduated from St. Thomas High School in Houston. His career in photocopy sales took him from Texas to Hawaii via Chicago then landed him in California. He has been a resident of Orange County for the past 25 years. In that time, he was an active participant in every community in which he lived – the last place of residence being Laguna Beach.
Mr. Luna was a dedicated and sober member of Alcoholics Anonymous in Orange County, as well as Northern California for the last few months of life. He loved his work as a salesman for TL Fabrication in Santa Fe Springs even as his illness progressed. He will be greatly missed by all the people that he touched during his life.
He is survived by his mother, Helen P. Luna of Houston, Texas; daughter, Michele Lee Luna of Bedminster, N.J.; son, Felix Anthony Luna and daughter-in-law Joanne Luna; grandsons, Devin Anthony and Cobe Aaren Luna of Gilroy; brothers, Andrew Luna, Daniel Luna, Michael Luna and Manuel Luna of Houston, Texas; sister, Mary Blau from Charlotte, N.C.; ex-wife and friend Memi Byrne from Houston, Texas and multiple brothers and sisters from AA.
He was preceded into death by his father, Felix Cruz Luna from Houston, Texas.
Memorial services will be held at the Canyon Club in Laguna Beach at 2:30pm, on Feb. 26, 2005.
