GILROY – After suffering a tough opening loss to Aptos in the District 39 Tournament, the nine-year-old Gilroy Little League All-Stars rebounded with a big 24-7 victory over Gonzalez in San Juan Bautista.

An all-out team effort guided the garlic stars to a much-needed win as they were on the brink of elimination in the double-elimination tournament.

Riding high from Wednesday’s victory, the All-Stars’ run continues on Friday night against Hartnell in San Juan Bautista.
