Albert A. Angelino, 84, passed away in San Jose on July 28.
Mr. Angelino was born in Oakland, California on February 27, 1919. and moved to Gilroy in 1927. He was a farmer in Gilroy with his brothers for many years and later worked in construction. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Legion of Mary, and St. Mary’s Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Angelino.
Mr. Angelino is survived by his daughter and her husband, Deborah Ann and William Place, of Hollister, and his son John Angelino Sr., of Gilroy. He also survived by his grandchildren: Nichole Soto and husband Edward Jr., of Los Banos; Paul Michael Marchese, of Florida; Jeffrey Scott Marchese, USAF, of Nevada; Annemarie DeLeon, of Gilroy; John Angelino Jr. and wife, Cynthia, of Gilroy; Angelina Angelino and Brandon, of Los Banos; Darlene Sanchez Angelino and Marty, of Gilroy; his brother and his wife, Alfred R. and Bessie Angelino, of Gilroy; his sisters: Inez Ferranti of San Martin, Natalie Terry of Mariposa; and his late brothers: Louis Angelino and Father Henry Angelino. He was the great grandfather of 17. He was the brother-in-law of Lupe, Carmen, Vincent, and Martha Sanchez, of Gilroy.
Vigil service will be held Sunday at 5 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Gilroy. Family and friends will gather at Habing Family Funeral Home on Monday at 9:30 a.m. and then procession to St. Mary Church for a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Gilroy. Family would appreciate donations to the Diabetes Society in his memory.
