Dear Editor:

On behalf of the 640 students and 28 teachers at Rod Kelley School who participated in our May Day celebration, I’d like to thank Mr. Todd Perkins and Goldsmith Seeds for the generous donation of over 600 columbine plants we delivered in the neighborhoods around our school.

The flowers were amazing and the students and teachers had a wonderful time spreading spring wishes with the plants and colorful, student-made posters. This May Day tradition is ages old and a way to show others kindness after the dreary winter months. How lucky we are to have a community-minded business like Goldsmith help us spread “small town” good wishes to others. Together we were able to touch many lives and hopefully bring a little warmth into an otherwise wet spring.

  1. Hello, My name is Meghan Cervantes. I was a student in Ms. Rundle’s class. I believe I was the front cover image in the town’s newspaper and am seeking a hand printed copy, as a keepsake.
