remain unbeaten in the Men’s B League Tuesday, edging Victoria’s
Restaurant Banditos 18-17 at Gavilan Sports Park.
GILROY – Talamo Foods needed a nine-run rally in the final inning to remain unbeaten in the Men’s B League Tuesday, edging Victoria’s Restaurant Banditos 18-17 at Gavilan Sports Park.

Rodney Sakai went 3-for-3 and Rob Ramirez drove in three runs as Victoria’s Restaurant Banditos build a 17-9 lead through five innings.

Three singles, two errrors and two walks left Talamo Foods trailing 17-15 with two out in the final at-bat. Abel Jacquez kept the rally alive with a single and Memo Lopez followed with a three-run home run to rightfield.

The Talamo victory kept two other teams, Out 2 Bang and Bike Center-DataMate Accounting, one game off the first-half pace.

Bike-Data mustered six runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat B&T Farms 10-9. Steve Borgna earned Bike-Data a tie with a run-scoring double. Borgna scored the game-winner on a Lonnie Terrill hit.

Keith Ball produced a home run and triple for the winners. Mike Luevano homered in a four-hit, five-RBI game for B&T Farms.

Alex Flores drove in five runs with a triple and two singles to spark Out 2 Bang to a 13-11 decision over Obata Farms. Ruben Lujan went 3-for-4 and scored three Bang runs. Josh Torres homered and Mark Vodanovich lined a single, double and triple for Obata Farms.

Krazy Koyotes moved to 2-2 in the Women’s B League play Wednesday at Christmas Hill Park with a 19-4 victory over Dutchman’s Pizza.

Sissy Phillips took game batting honors with a 5-for-5 performance for the Koyotes. Nicole Villarreal and Vicki Groppe each went 4-for-5 and scored four runs. Connie Rodriguez and Jeanne Ramos each collected two hits for Dutchman’s Pizza.

Radiator Doctor upset Just For Fun 12-4 Tuesday to leave both teams at 3-1 atop the Co-Rec C League at Las Animas Park.

Dennis Subia went 4-for-4 and John Ceballos went 3-for-4 as Radiator Doctor fashioned a three-game winning streak. Subia drove in five runs. Sylvia Solis and Lorraine Marquez each aided the Radiator cause with two singles. Eddie Vargas and Ed Cordia each homered for Just For Fun.

DALEO defeated Tean FX 12-9 to leave both teams at 1-3. Kurt Gitmed went 4-for-5 with four runs batted in for DALEO. Will Hill went 4-for-4, Rich Furtado 3-for-4 for the winners. Matt Goosens scored three DALEO runs. Tony Martinez and George Smith each powered two hits for Team FX.
