Basketball skills clinic presented by Lady Mustangs head coach
GILROY – Lady Mustangs head girls hoops coach Kari Williams is putting on a five-day basetball skills clinic at Gilroy High School – opening on May 5 with dates on May 12, 14, 19, and 21.
The cost of the camp – run through the Gilroy Parks & Rec Department where participants can sign up – is $40 for all five days. Hoopsters can still sign up even if they miss a day. The clinics will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for girls grades fifth through 11th grade.
Coach Williams as well as Assistant Art Silva will also hold additional tryouts for their AAU Gilroy Crush travel basketball team on Monday May 5 from 7:30 to 8 p.m. in the GHS main gym.
Gavilan Rams golf fundraiser accepting entries for May 21 tournament
GILROY – The 2003 Rams Scramble Golf Tournament to benefit the Gavilan College football and baseball programs is accepting open entries for its May 31 fundraisng event that has an 11 a.m. shotgun start.
The four-person scramble format has individual packages of $100 that includes green fees, golf cart, tee prize, barbeque and refreshments, and dinner – and corporate packages of $500 that includes all of the individual things as well as four additional dinners for guests of your choice and tee sponsorship. A $125 tee sponsorship includes a 30″ by 36″ sign at a hole.
Other tournament activities Include special hole prizes and a raffle
