great-grandfather passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2003, in Salt
Lake City from complications due to prostate cancer.
William Earl Robinson, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2003, in Salt Lake City from complications due to prostate cancer.
He was born Sept. 2, 1925, in Kirkland, Wash. to Dr. Faye C. Robinson and Hazelle Saddlemire Robinson. Bill served in the Navy during World War II as radioman on a patrol bomber in the South Pacific. After the war he graduated from Washington State University and was accepted at San Francisco University Law School. Just before fall term began he was called back into the military due to the Korean War. He became an Air Force officer and served in Newfoundland. Just prior to that he married Dorothy Jean Kinney, Sept. 1, 1951, in Fresno. They had three children: William Craig, Mark James Robinson and Betty Kay (Robinson) Landaker.
Bill and his wife spent more than 30 years in California, mostly in Gilroy, where he was in the title insurance business. His first wife died in January 1985. In September 1985 he married M. Jean Bagby, a widow. She has two children: Jefferson Craig Bagby and Jill Suzanne Bagby Kimball. These five children all have families who adored their Grandpa, and all were beloved by him.
He is survived by his wife, Jean, these five children, 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Capitol Hill First Ward, 413 North West Capitol, where family and friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Gilroy at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Gavilan Hills Memorial Park. All California friends welcome.
