The middle school wrestling regular season concluded Dec. 9 with
the Santa Clara County Championships. Gilroy, per usual, was well
represented as wrestlers from Solorsano, Brownell and South Valley
took the mat.

Taking 11 wrestlers in all to the county tournament, based on finishes as the East Section tournament two days prior, South Valley, headed by coach Armando Garcia, had five wrestlers take home a title.

Solorsano, manned by coach Raul Alvarez, took five wrestlers to the county tournament with one reigning supreme in the end.

Brownell, coached by Andres Barragan, also had five representatives and one first-place finisher.
