GILROY – The Gilroy High girls soccer team extended its win
streak to 11 games with a 4-0 triumph over Notre Dame on
Wednesday.

For the Gilroy High girls soccer team, the momentum continues to gather as the Mustangs disposed of another Tri-County Athletic League opponent, beating Notre Dame 4-0 on Wednesday in Gilroy.

The victory gives Gilroy 11 straight wins, including nine in a row in league play. The Mustangs (11-4-2, 9-0) currently hold a one-game advantage in the standings over San Benito, who Gilroy beat 3-0 two weeks ago.

Junior co-captain Indra Garcia tallied twice fore the Mustangs in Wednesday’s contest.

GHS netted a pair of goals in each half.

Alex Maldonado scored for the third consecutive game and Savannah Silacci scored her fourth goal of the season.

The Mustangs hit the road to face Salinas on Friday. Game time is 5 p.m.
