Charlotte’s Web

Rucker Theater Arts presents “Charlotte’s Web,” directed by Mr. Jose “Pepe” Espinosa, on Friday, Feb. 11 at 7pm and Saturday, Feb. 12 at 2 and 7pm at Rucker School, 325 Santa Clara Ave.

‘Be My Valentine’ Tennis Club Mixer

The Gilroy Tennis Club wil host “Be My Valentine Mixed Doubles Social Mixer” on Saturday, beginning at 8:30am at Las Animas Park. Membership in the Gilroy Tennis Club is required to participate.

Bird Walks Continue

A series of bird walks led by Jane Haley, a National Park Service docent for 20 years and Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center (WERC) volunteer, continues Saturday, Feb. 12, from 9am to 1pm along Coyote Creek, north of Morgan Hill.

Due to terrain, these walks are not reccommended for young kids.

The programs are free, but space is limited so reservations are required.

Open Poetry Reading

The Garlicky Group of Poets holds its monthly poetry reading on the second Saturday of each month at 3:30pm in the meeting room of the Gilroy Public Library, Rosanna and Sixth streets. Admission is free.

‘Fantasticks’ Auditions

South Valley Civic Theatre will be holding auditions for “The Fantasticks” at the Morgan Hill Community Playhouse, located at Monterey Road and Fifth Street, Saturday, Feb. 12 with 9:30am check-in for 10am audition and 12:30pm check-in for 1pm audition; and Sunday, Feb. 13 with 6:30pm check-in for 7pm audition.

All roles are for ages 16 and up. Come prepared with a song of your choice not from this show; accompanist will be provided.

Be prepared to perform cold reading and patomime. Dress comfortably; a short dance routine will be taught.

A fundraiser to help the victims of Asia who lost everything hosted by some girls and they’re moms will be held Sunday, Feb. 13, from 1 to 4pm at 8735 Learnard Way.
