GILROY – Dani Hemeon scored twice and Alex Rose added a late insurance goal in a Gilroy High field hockey 3-1 triumph over Mount Hamilton Division opponent Presentation on Monday.
Hemeon put the Mustangs up 1-0 with her first goal of the afternoon, giving GHS a 1-0 lead at halftime. The senior then pushed the cushion to 2-0 with a dazzling goal midway through the second half.
After a Presentation score with 4:51 to play, Rose sealed the victory with her tally three minutes later.
GHS travels (10-0, 5-0 league) to challenge Mitty on Thursday.
