Gilroy went 2-0 over the weekend to open up the 2010 Little League Western Regional Tournament in Vancouver, Wash.
The girls began play Saturday, trumping Idaho 12-1 in four innings. They returned to action Sunday and recorded an 8-1 win over Arizona.
Highlighted by a bases-clearing double by Alli Hathaway, Gilroy posted five runs in the top of the first inning against Idaho. Eight players ad at least one RBI in the team’s 12-run, 13-hit effort. Lauren Castro was credited with the victory in the circle.
Gilroy is back in action Tuesday afternoon, taking on Washington.
