Sushi Omakase, which opened in June, will celebrate its grand opening Oct. 1-3. Festivities will include a ribbon cutting ceremony, food and drink specials, live music and a comedy night, with half the ticket proceeds going to Rebekah Children’s Services in Gilroy. The ribbon cutting is Oct. 1, and there will be specials all day long. Gilroy native Rodger Lizaola and some of the Bay Area’s top comedians will perform on Oct. 2. Cost is $12. Donald Prieto will bring his Elvis singing and performing skills to Sushi Omakase on Oct. 3 as part of the “Sunday is Funday” theme. Fro-Yo opens Gilroy location
Fro-Yo Delite, which offers custom yogurts, is celebrating the recent opening of its new store at 6955 Camino Arroyo next to Red Brick Pizza in Gilroy. There will be free balloons for the kids and a raffle to win free yogurt for a month. The store is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
