SALINAS—Six Gilroyans earned their place on the 2015 Monterey Bay League Boys Volleyball All-League Teams.
Christopher High’s Bryant Huynh and Gilroy’s Ryan Nguyen led the way, as both earned First Team All-League honors.
Cougars Tyler Galloway, a junior outside hitter, and RJ Jimenez, a senior setter, both landed spots on the Second Team.
Mustang Kade McDermott and Cougar Alec Menacho were named to the Sportsmanship Team.
Gilroy as a whole was also awarded the Elgie Bellizio Sportsmanship Co-Award, sharing the honor with Palma.
The Cougars finished the season 19-16 overall, which earned them a berth to the Central Coast Section Playoffs. Unfortunately for Christopher, the team was eliminated by Lynbrook in the first round in straight sets.
Gilroy went 4-15 overall this season.
