Cinco de Mayo fiesta
Gavilan College will host a Cinco de Mayo event featuring Blanca Arteaga dancing folklorico, a piñata, food and a brief presentation on the history of Cinco de Mayo from 12:50 to 1:50 p.m. Tuesday in the Student Center, 5055 Santa Teresa Dr., Gilroy.

Home and garden tour
The Gilroy Assistance League presents its 11th annual signature fundraiser, the Impressions Home and Garden Tour, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 8-9. Mother’s Day breakfast
The Gilroy Elks Club will host its annual Mother’s Day Charity Champagne Breakfast for members and guests from 8 a.m. to noon May 10 at Gilroy Elks Lodge on the Hill. The menu includes cooked-to-order omelets, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, pancakes, biscuits, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, milk, Bloody Marys and Mimosas. Fundraising luncheon
A fundraising luncheon for Lucie Packard Children’s Hospital will be held from noon to 2 p.m. May 20 at Fortino Winery, 4525 Hecker Pass Highway, Gilroy. The event, sponsored by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’in Gilroy, includes silent and live auctions, lunch and wine. Tickets are $20 if purchased by May 15 and $25 at the door. Dazzle dinner and auction
Rotary Club of Morgan Hill presents the 10th Annual Dazzle Dinner and Auction fundraiser from 5 to 9 p.m. May 29 at Clos LaChance Winery, 1 Hummingbird Lane, San Martin. The gourmet dinner will be catered by Chef Lou Zulalca of Cellar Door Catering. Funds raised will be used to help people in need locally and internationally.
