Hoffman died Thursday, Feb. 12, after a three-year valiant
battle against colon cancer during which she displayed such
courage, patience and tenacity that, together with her angelic
heart and boundless love, made her a hero in the hearts of those
who loved her.
Margaret Rose “Petricca” Hoffman died Thursday, Feb. 12, after a three-year valiant battle against colon cancer during which she displayed such courage, patience and tenacity that, together with her angelic heart and boundless love, made her a hero in the hearts of those who loved her.

She was the loving wife and friend of 31 years to Ronald Hoffman to whom she gave her life, love and companionship; “Mother Dearest, Sweet, Kind, Generous” to her beautiful daughters Theresa Shellen and husband Taylor Shellen, of San Jose, “Peggy” Perroud and husband Joao Perroud, of San Diego, and “Katie” Rose Hoffman, of Morgan Hill; “Gran” to her “Too Sweet” grandchildren, Jack and Luke Shellen, and Thomas and “Bella” Perroud; wonderful daughter and step-daughter to Patricia and “Hal” O’Toole, of Santa Clara; loving daughter to Patrick Petricca, of San Jose; cherished and deeply loved sister of Maria Petricca, of Santa Clara, Patricia Hoffman, of San Jose, John Petricca, of Las Vegas, “Joe” Petricca of Eureka, Kathleen Knudsen, of Morgan Hill and Joanne Petricca, of Morgan Hill; endeared and lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends far too numerous to individually name. All will miss her.

Vigil services were held at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy, on Monday. Funeral and mass were at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Morgan Hill today followed by interment at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, Santa Clara. A reception followed.
