I would like to thank and congratulate all those who were a part of a very successful Gilroy Relay For Life. To date you have raised more than $128,000 with money still coming in. Remember our books do not close until Aug. 31 so get your money in. Please contact me with any money and I will arrange for either me or someone to pick it up.
The number of teams (58) and the above dollars raised are all-time highs for the Gilroy community, and you and your teams are the reason the Gilroy Relay is alive and well.
We already are looking at ways to possibly reconfigure the layout, but from the response we have received everyone is looking forward to next year. This is great news for all survivors in the area.
I am committed to one more year as being the Relay Chair then it will be on to other challenges the American Cancer Society has for me. So with your help 2005 will be even bigger. How can that be? – only with your help as ambassadors and try to recruit new participants.
The Gilroy Relay will always be special to me and being part of the revival and growth has inspired me even further.
Great job relayers and remember to continue the fight for the cure. Thank you all again.
