celebrity impersonators perform to help raise money for hurricane
relief.

The acts are part of South County Reaches Out: Live Aid Benefit Concert for American Red Cross Hurricane Relief. All of the money raised will be donated to the American Red Cross 2005 Hurricane Relief Effort.
Also in the entertainment lineup are the California Beach Party and The Woogie Men. And although Tina Turner, Marilyn Monroe, Kenny Rogers and Liza Minelli won’t be at the concert in person, their impersonators will.
Linda Collins, owner of concert-talent-producer Classique Productions, said entertainers are “without a doubt” the most generous people.
“They always want to give back; sometimes financially, other times with their talent,” Collins said in a written statement. “This particular cause touches the heart; almost everyone knows someone who was affected by the hurricanes.”
Tickets –$10 for adults and $5 for children younger than 10 – can be purchased at the event or at the offices of the major event sponsors: the Gilroy Dispatch, the Hollister Free Lance, the Morgan Hill Times, The Sunday Pinnacle and Saint Louise Regional Hospital.
Other sponsors include the American Red Cross, Comcast, Southwest Airlines, Articulate Solutions, City of Gilroy, Gilroy and Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce, the San Benito County Chamber of Commerce, Gilroy Rotary Club, Gilroy Garlic Festival Association, KSBW TV, Forest Park Inn, D&V Sound and Pepsi.
