Murray Demo honored as
a top executive
San Francisco – Golden Gate University honored Murray Demo, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Adobe Systems Incorporated as Alumnus of the Year at GGU’s annual Alumni Awards luncheon. The award is given to alumni for outstanding professional accomplishments and contributions to the community.
As executive vice president and chief financial officer of Adobe, one of the world’s largest, most diversified software companies, Demo has worldwide responsibility for the software company’s finance, investor relations, information services, facilities, purchasing and global supply-chain management organizations.
“I am honored to receive the Alumnus of the Year Award from a school that allowed me to advance to the next level in my career,” states Demo. “With over 100 years of experience and a focus on real-life skills, GGU is truly a treasure for working professionals across the U.S.”
Demo earned an MBA from GGU in 1987 and in 1989 he relocated with his future wife Marie Russo to the Silicon Valley.
Earlier this year he was promoted to executive vice president and chief financial officer. In addition to his work with Adobe, Demo serves on the board of directors for Citrix Systems Inc., the largest software company in the Southeastern United States, and is the vice chairman of the national board of AEA, the nation’s largest high tech trade association.
