Gilroy – The Antonio Del Buono School Violin Program is having an Enchilada Fiesta Fundraiser on Friday from 5 to 8:30pm in the multipurpose room.

Adult dinner tickets are $5/$6 at the door (enchiladas, rice and beans) and $3 for children younger than 12 (enchilada or quesadilla rice and beans).

There will be a silent auction for two Thomas Kinkade Images as well as other items from 5 to 7:30pm. There will be a raffle for many other great prizes. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5 need not be present to win.

Symphony tickets now on sale

Gilroy – Tickets for the opening concert of the South Valley Symphony on Oct. 16 at Gavilan College, which starts at 7:30pm, are on sale now at the following locations: The Music Tree in downtown Morgan Hill; Snappy Photo, 785 First St., Gilroy; California Music Company and Porcella’s Music, located on Monterey Street, in Gilroy; Dorothy McNett’s Place in Hollister; and The Mission Gallery in San Juan Bautista.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors aged 60 and older, and $7 for students aged 12 through 18.

Harvest Festival benefits community

Gilroy – The Exchange Club of Gilroy is holding a “Harvest Festival” Oct. 22, from 6 to 10pm at the IFDES Lodge.

Cost for dinner is $15. All proceeds benefit the local community.

Save a life give the gift of blood

Gilroy – The American Red Cross will be holding a blood drive .Thursday, Oct. 14 from 1:30pm to 6:30pm at the First Baptist Church, 8455 Wren Ave., Gilroy.

To give blood, one must be 17 years or older, weigh no less than 110 lbs. and enjoy general good health. Walk-ins are welcome. Donors are required to provide identification, such as a driver’s license, or a Red Cross blood donor card.
