recent decision to fire Mr. Meeker!

I am a senior at Gilroy High School and I am very upset at the recent decision to fire Mr. Meeker! He is by far the best teacher at Gilroy High and to fire him over something he had no control over is unjust. The article you wrote about the showcase was totally biased and unfair. You should get your facts straight before you go accusing him of anything.
The impact he has had over all his students is unbelievable! He treats us with respect and as equals. He actually listens to what we have to say without passing judgment, which is more than what most teachers and the administration at the high school does. He cares about his students and has always encouraged us to stand up for ourselves and let our voices be heard.
Mr. Meeker is a great teacher and friend to many students. We can trust him and talk to him about anything. He has helped so many students and is a great role model. To fire Mr. Meeker is not solving anything, all it would do is take away one of the only positive influences in this school.
