Dear Editor,

The Gilroy Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors endorses Jaime Rosso and Bob Kraemer for the Gilroy Unified School District Board of Trustees. The business community depends on the success of our educational system to produce a workplace-ready population. For our economy to develop a skilled workforce now and in the future, it is important that the representation on your school board reflects the interests of the community – including the business community.

Jaime Rosso is the only school board candidate who owns a business. He has been a constant supporter of advancing partnerships between business and education. Jaime works collaboratively and has communicated the need for the school board to be proactive in creating alliances with the business community.

Bob Kraemer is an accomplished leader in the development of the 20-year GUSD Strategic Master Plan, and he understands the importance of continued follow-through on this plan. He has a history of involvement within the business community and possesses a business ideology. Bob is vitally aware of the need for consensus building for our school district to succeed.

Rosso and Kraemer will provide the leadership and vision to the Gilroy Unified School District Board of Trustees.

Susan Valenta, Executive Director Gilroy Chamber of Commerce on behalf of Tim Day, 2005 president, and the Board of Directors
