I do hope Dina Campeau was not serious when her column headlined
in The Dispatch was

this would show a lack of intelligent commitment to marriage
that is lacking in our society today. But beyond that, she was
trying to keep him from voting
– how sad.

I do hope Dina Campeau was not serious when her column headlined in The Dispatch was “I Need a New Husband,” this would show a lack of intelligent commitment to marriage that is lacking in our society today. But beyond that, she was trying to keep him from voting – how sad. She goes on to say (just a few quotes from Dina):
• “The reasons to vote against Bush were so clear.”
• “Fear and anger we believe drove their preference.”
• “I think it bears some reflection that Kerry was the choice people with higher education, upper incomes and on both coasts.”
Wow! You really know how to insult people – from your husband to the majority of all Americans. President Bush got the largest amount of votes ever in any presidential election. Look at the map, even in California was an area mostly in red. I just came back from being on the road for six weeks, travelling coast to coast and I asked a number of Kerry supporters why they were voting for him and without exception not one could give me an intelligent reason to vote for him, they were just voting against Bush.
You were right, it was fear that drove some of the voters, but it was fear of not knowing what or where Kerry was. And trust me, all the people I met that were voting for Bush were not dumb nor poor, thank you. You said the Democratic Party might need to dismantle and rebuild. I think they are further along the way of being dismantled than you may want to admit.
It would be great for a change to have a writer that would be less insulting and more positive. This is a great country and I think we will see some great things in the future. God bless America.
