Andres “Mijijo” Garza, 23, died suddenly on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2004, in Gilroy.
He was a native of Merced.
He was the son of Andy Garza, of Gilroy; brother of Rafael Garza, of Gilroy, Victoria Garza, of Gilroy, Doraly Garza, of Colorado, Tomas Garza, of Merced, and the late Dora Adelfa Garza (1987); grandson of Jose and Dora Garza of Gilroy.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents Uvaldo and Adelfa Garza and his uncle Rafael Gon-zalez.
He was the nephew of Joseph Garza, of Gilroy, Gilbert Garza, of Corocoran, Diana Gonzalez, of Gilroy. Anna Cano, of Edingberg, Texas, and Marie Garza, of San Jose; great nephew of Gilbert Garza, of Gilroy, Tony Garza, of Los Banos, Walter Garza, of Gilroy, Andy Garza, of Atwater, Dora Castaneda, of Texas, and the late Elpidio Garza (2003). He was the beloved friend/cousin of James Michael Langell, of Santa Cruz and 18 other cousins.
He will be greatly missed by all of his family.
Evening services will be Thursday at 7 at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy. Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Then to St. Mary’s Cemetery, Gilroy, for burial.
