Mrs. Drewfs was born in Burley, Idaho, on Jan. 9, 1919.

She was the widow of Gary Drewfs and the loving mother of Janice Earnest and Linda Smith, both of Clovis, a dear grandmother “Grammie” of Lisa Harrison, Renee Reilly, Mark Smith, Audra Allen, Stacie Mak and the great-grandmother of 13. She was the sister of Richard Bowling and was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

At the age of 8, Mrs. Drewfs moved from Burley, Idaho, to Gilroy. A graduate of Gilroy High School, she married her husband on Feb. 19, 1938. She spent many years in farming, residential care and nursing.

She was a past member of Wheeler Auxiliary and the sewing group of both Wheeler Hospital and South Valley Hospital, a charter member of the Others Club of South County, past member of Women in Touch and was instrumental in starting a homemaking service for the ill and confined. It is now part of South Santa Clara County services.

A private family service was held in Clovis.
