Monthly honor gos to Rickard with net of 28
GILROY – The Gavilan Niners held their July Ace Day on July 29 at the Gavilan Golf Course, and the Elaine Rickard earned the top honor.
Rickard, of Gilroy,scored a net of 28 which was also good for first in the first flight ahead of second-place Birgit Caparusso, of Gilroy, with a net of 29.
First in the second flight was Irene Rodriguez, of San Jose, with a net of 35; second was Nina Kimoto, of Watsonville, with a net of 35.
Low putts went to Ann Maloney, of Gilroy, with 13.
Winners at Short Course held on July 9 at Blackberry Farms were Joan Webenbauer, of Morgan Hill; second in her flight was Elaine Rickard, of Gilroy, and third was Teri Swan, of Morgan Hill.
The Gavilan Niners play each Thursday morning at the Gavilan Golf Course in Gilroy. Tee time is 8:30 a.m.
