City deficit $2.9 mil, but $28 mil for a new PD is fine?

As reported recently in The Dispatch, the city is projecting a
2004-2005 budget deficit of $2.9 million.

This is no surprise, but it is completely ridiculous that a city without funds is poised to build a $28,000,000 monument to stupidity.

Our City Council members need math lessons.
