Dear Editor:
Other Christians who have something to say in response to non-Biblical truths ought to speak up.
After all, the devil himself appears as an angel of light to the unsaved. The devil has always used unprincipled and/or immoral people to take up his causes. He whispers little words in their ears like diversity, fairness, hypocrisy (since no one is perfect, this is an easy accusation). Of course, God’s Word, the Bible, is perfect and tells us homosapiens right from wrong.
Since homosexuality is exposed in the Bible as a deviant lifestyle (Romans, chapter 1, and elsewhere), and is the result of not honoring God (v. 21) and worshipping the creation rather than the Creator (v.23), then it follows that gay marriage is not so gay after all.
Sixty six percent of Americans do not support marriage between two people of the same sex. Only 22 percent of Americans support marriage between two people of the same sex. The rest are up for grabs. The most religious among us, rightfully so, do not support gay marriage. And guess what, despite the so-called separation of church and state, we founded this country, we do get to vote, we do have an opinion, and, in this instance, we are the majority and we will have our say.
Now for the disclaimer: I do not hate homosexuals. And I am not homophobic. But how about you? Who do you hate? Do you try to squelch freedom of speech in the name of diversity and fairness?
