She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Alfred Leonetti of San Martin; daughters Leslie Leonetti (Jock McCoy) of Los Gatos; Lisa Leonetti and family of Morgan Hill; and Laurie Leonetti of Seattle; and her grandchildren, Elena Guevara, Laurel Leonetti and Andy Leonetti; sister Elayne Freitas and brother Leon “Butch” Cancilla.

She was preceded in death by her parents A.E. “Gene” and Dolly Cancilla and her sister Jeanne Seeberger.

Bonnie was born and raised in the Willow Glen area of San Jose. She graduated from Lincoln High School and attended San Jose State, belonged to Phi Rho Gamma Sorority and graduated from Heald’s Business College. She was employed as a secretary at Food Machinery Corporation and as secretary to the Athletic Director at Santa Clara University.

She married Al Leonetti in 1950, moved to Morgan Hill, and, where along with helping him grow the family retail businesses and raising her daughters, she was active in many local and civic organizations.

She would say the highlights were her membership and term as President of the Alice in Wonderland Chapter of Children’s Home Society, and a two-term member of the Morgan Hill Unified School District Board where she served as President for one term.

Bonnie enjoyed playing golf with Riverside and Ridgemark Ladies Golf Clubs, and was proud of her two holes-in-one. We will miss her with all of our hearts.

Visitation is fromo 1 to 3:30 p.m., Sunday April 4, at Johnson Funeral Home, 17720 Monterey St.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday April 5, at St. Catherine’s Church in Morgan Hill.

Inurnment will be private.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Northern California Chapter, 2065 W. El Camino Real, Suite C, Mt. View, CA 94040-2217.

Donald Kinkead died suddenly on Wednesday, March 24 , 2004 in Gilroy. He was 75.

He first moved to Gilroy in the fall of 1975, working as a co-manager at the local TG&Y for a year and a half before being transferred.

He then lived in several other places in California, Wyoming and Georgia before returning to Gilroy in 1989, where he worked for K-Mart in Gilroy and San Jose.

In his retirement, Don enjoyed his garden at his daughter’s home and playing on the computer. Every day he stopped by Nob Hill for his morning coffee and was easily spotted by his bright orange baseball cap.

Don is survived by his children Cindy Hughes of Gilroy, James and Marsha Kinkead of Loganville, Ga., and Robert Eggli of West Haven, Utah, and David and Cheri Kinkead of Peoria, Arizona; his grandchildren Michelle and Kenneth Smith of Fresno, Tina and Kenny Davis of Loganville, Ga., Wendy and Adam Hearndon of Atlanta, Ga., Jennifer and Matt Johnson of Syracuse, Utah, Andrea Eggli and Christina Eggli of West Haven, Utah, Melissa Kinkead and Kristine Kinkead of Peoria, Ariz.

He had four great-grandchildren: Corinne and Kiana Smith of Fresno, and Andrew and Rebecca Davis of Loganville, Georgia.

He was preceeded in death by his wife Dee, his parents, Donald and Hazel Kinkead, and his sister, Jeanne Arrington.

Don donated his body to Stanford University School of Medicine. There will be no memorial services.

John Joseph Bozzo Sr. died Sunday, March 21, 2004 at the age of 88.

He was the husband of Mary R. Bozzo for 58 years. Father of John Bozzo Jr. (Nancy) of Gilroy and Nancy J. Bozzo of Hollister. Devoted grandfather to Matthew and Catie Bozzo of Gilroy.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Sam (Lena), Gene, Mike (Edith) Bozzo and sister Edith (Morris) McHenry. Uncle to Dick (Ellen) Bozzo, Don (Jeanne) Gage, Morris (Kathy) and Brian McHenry, Claudia Jewell, Michael (Shirley) Bozzo, Janice DeCosta and Patty Lema, and the late Rosemary Bozzo.

Born in Donnici, Italy in 1915 he arrived in Gilroy at the age of 4. A veteran of World War II. John served in the Air Force, mainly in the Panama Canal.

He owned and operated Farm Supply Company for 40 years and enjoyed 30 years of retirement doing what he loved, his yard, garden and babysitting his grandchildren when they were young.

Private services were held on Thursday, March 25, 2004
