Meals come with all the fixings. Beer, wine and soda will also be sold. Meal tickets are available and must be purchased in advance. The deadline is Sept. 24. No tickets will be sold at the event.
At the fest you can discover facts about tarantulas. Nature walks led by Coe docents take place every hour from 10:30am-2:30pm. Treats for children include Smokey the Bear and supervised tarantula art projects. You can hold a snake or a tarantula, have your picture taken, and learn other topics.
There will be music by the Coe Park Tarantula Band. A benefit raffle will take place.
Meal ticket order forms are available at Coe Headquarters and merchants. Tickets may also be purchased by mailing a check to: PRA, Henry W. Coe State Park, 9100 E. Dunne Ave., Morgan Hill, CA 95037. Include a SASE or ask to have your tickets held at Will Call. A $5 park fee will be charged to each car on the day of the event.
Coe park, east of Morgan Hill, is reached via the Dunne Avenue exit from U.S. 101.
The event is sponsored by the Pine Ridge Association, a non-profit organization which is dedicated to providing support for interpretive services at the park for the community.
