Dear Editor,
I read with some disdain the letter by a Bush supporter and he
is still locked into the medals richly received by Senator Kerry.
Was he worthy of them? He was in the war and that is good enough
for me.
Dear Editor,
I read with some disdain the letter by a Bush supporter and he is still locked into the medals richly received by Senator Kerry. Was he worthy of them? He was in the war and that is good enough for me.
I am not surprised that such is still the case since they have nothing with which to defend Bush’s military record.
But the issues are plain: millions more poor people, millions more without insurance, highways are deteriorating, schools are overcrowded, less and less for veterans and this nation is quickly becoming a third world country.
Consider the unemployment figures and the disappearance of the middle class society as we knew it.
Is it fair and equitable for the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer? Is it just for our jobs to be sent overseas to make the United States a third world country? And is it just for more children to go hungry every day? Hospitals are closing here in Santa Clara County while they are being built in Iraq to take care of the victims of the Bush war.
Please dear reader, do not be fooled by Bush and Cheney – in the words of my hero – Harry S. Truman – “They speak horse manure.”
