Gavilan took Fresno City College to four sets Tuesday, but unfortunately for the Rams, their season would end there. 
Gavilan fell 3-1 to FCC on Nov. 25 on the road to kick-off the California Community College Athletic Association playoffs. It lost 17-25, 20-25, 27-25, 13-25.
Ryan Asp and Kendall Campbell both posted seven kills for the Rams while Samantha Nydam added six as well as an ace. Campbell also led the team in blocks with four. 
Raelynn Heredia came up with 16 assists and 14 digs. Daisy Valladares had 18 digs for Gavilan. 
The Rams finish their season with a 13-13 overall record. 
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Skyline tops Gavilan
Freshman standout Brittany Valdez posted a double-double for Gavilan, but it wasn’t enough to lift the team past Skyline.
The Rams fell 61-43 at Skyline Tuesday, giving them a 2-5 overall record so far this season.
Valdez led the team with 12 points—including three 3-pointers—11 rebounds and two assists. Kelsey Caudill posted 10 points and a big block for Gavilan. 
Felicia Lee-Cardenas added eight points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals. Katrina Diaz posted eight points and eight rebounds. 
The two teams will square off again at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Gavilan. 
MEN’S BASKETBALL
Rams fall to Skyline
Gavilan dropped its fifth straight game, falling 69-54 to Skyline College at home Tuesday. 
Robbie Skinner led the team with 17 points, including going 5 for 5 from the line. He also led the team in rebounds and steals with seven and four, respectively.
Wyatt Madrid added 14 points for Gavilan, including three 3-pointers. Tadoka Bowers posted 12 points and three rebounds. 
The Rams trailed 30-17 at the half and posted 37 after the break. 
Gavilan (0-5) will be back in action Thursday, playing in the Monterey Peninsula Tournament.
