 Marion Virginia Hildreth Smith passed away on February 9, 2014, at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, CA. She was born in Detroit, MI on September 13, 1929.
 Mrs. Smith moved to Morgan Hill with her husband and children in 1959. She spent many years raising her children and helping to manage her husband’s business. She cared for her husband, Emmett W. Smith, Sr., for many years throughout a long illness. After he passed away in 2004, Mrs. Smith worked for Home Depot in Morgan Hill.
 She was very active in the order of Eastern Star and was the Past Worthy Matron of Manzanita Chapter, O.E.S. and Past Worthy Matron of Magnolia Chapter, O.E.S. She was also the Past Grand Deputy in California for Eastern Star. Mrs. Smith held many offices in Eastern Star throughout the years. At the time of her passing, she was the secretary for Magnolia Chapter. Mrs. Smith was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Gabilan Chapter in Gilroy.
 Mrs. Smith enjoyed gardening and belonged to the Flower Lover’s Club in Morgan Hill. She was also very interested in genealogical research and spent many hours researching her family history.
 She is survived by her children; Marion Kathleen Smith of Hollister, Eva Susanne Smith Pribyl and her husband David Pribyl, Sr. of Hollister, Kirsten Tindall Smith and her husband Eric Olson of Hollister, son Emmett Smith; grandchildren Laura, James Mitchell, David Warren, Brian Webster, Janelle Renee, Christopher Adam, great-grandson, Noah Emmett; and other family members.
