Police blotter

The Gilroy Police Department responded to a variety of crimes this week, from possession of a controlled substance for sale to inflicting bodily injury on a spouse or cohabitant. Arrests are recorded between June 16 and 23. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Burglary
-Joshua Maynard, 22, June 20 at 3 p.m. near the intersection of Fourth Street and Monte Vista Way for two felony charges of first-degree burglary.
Battery
-Manuel Mendoza, 21, June 23 at 1:27 p.m. near the intersection of Second Street and Filice Way.
Domestic violence
-Aaron Haygood, 26, June 21 at 10:45 a.m. near the intersection of First Street and Wren Avenue for two charges of battery against a spouse, cohabitant or friend and violation of a protective order.
-Gonzalo Palafox, 39, June 21 at 10 p.m. on the 8800 block of Zinnia Street for felony infliction of bodily injury on a spouse or cohabitant.
Multiple charges
-Emeterio Ramirez, 35, June 20 at 7:42 p.m. on the 7300 block of Forest Street for possession of a controlled substance, under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a controlled substance and drinking in public.
-Lisa Solis, 33, June 23 at 2:59 a.m. on the 8000 block of Monterey Street for two felony forgery charges, possession of burglary tools, possession of a stolen vehicle, felony possession of a controlled substance and use or under the influence of a controlled substance.
Possession of a controlled substance for sale
-Jermaine Cecena, 27, June 21 at 2:02 a.m. on the 8200 block of Murray Avenue for one felony charge, felony possession of a controlled substance for sale or purchase for sale and resisting, delaying or obstructing a police officer.
Resisting, delaying or obstructing a police officer
-Salvador Herrera, 27, June 21 at 2:45 a.m. near the intersection of Leavesley Road and Murray Avenue.
-Missal Duarte, 18, June 21 at 2:28 a.m. on the 8200 block of Murray Avenue.
Possession of an open container of alcohol in a vehicle
-Eric Jones, 34, June 18 at 8:08 p.m. on the 5800 block of Monterey Street for one misdemeanor charge and for being under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a controlled substance.
Use or under the influence of a controlled substance
-Pedro Aguayo, 36, June 19 at 6:42 a.m. near the intersection of Monterey and Sixth streets.
Driving violations
-Don Legardye, 43, June 19 at 11:41 a.m. at the Gilroy police station for driving with privileges suspended or revoked.
Violation of a court order to prevent domestic violence
-Mitchell Youtsey, 20, June 19 at 9:47 a.m. on the 8400 block of Monterey Street for one misdemeanor charge and re-arrest for a probation violation.
Violation of a protective order
-Amber Saldana, 21, June 19 at 11:08 p.m. near the intersection of Wren Avenue and Armand Court.
Possession of a controlled substance
-Jaime Gonzalez, 26, June 19 at 3:36 p.m. near the intersection of Martin and Forest streets for one felony charge and felony re-arrest for probation violation.
-Vanessa Cecena, 26, June 21 at 2:02 a.m. on the 8200 block of Murray Avenue for one felony charge and unlawful possession of paraphernalia.
-Jesus Rivas Baez, 33, June 23 at 2:09 a.m. on the 200 block of First Street for two charges, one felony and misdemeanor.
Parole violation
-David Pena, 26, June 21 at 12:46 a.m. near the crossing of U.S. 101 and 10th Street.
