Christopher went up against a tough Harbor, but displayed championship-style defense to come away with the win.
The Cougars topped Harbor 8-6 in the second round of the Monterey Bay League Pacific Division Tournament Thursday. The win sets up a meeting with Robert Louis Stevenson at 1:30 p.m. Saturday for the championship. 
Natalie Garcia led the team with three goals on four attempts. She added three steals and an assist in the game. Ashley Irby and Malaya Santos each had two goals a piece. Irby also had four steals and two assists. Hannah Marquez rounded out scoring for the Cougars with a goal.

Christopher falls to Stevenson
Stevenson scored 11 goals in the first half, creating a hole that Christopher just couldn’t get out of. 
The Cougars lost 22-12 to Stevenson in the second round of the MBL Pacific Tournament Thursday.

The Cougars will face off with San Lorenzo Valley for third place at 2:45 p.m. Saturday at Aptos High School. 
Gilroy tops Harbor
Gilroy beat Harbor 19-4 in the consolation bracket of the Monterey Bay League Pacific Tournament Wednesday at Everett Alvarez.

Cougars best York in regular season finale
Christopher closed out the regular season with a 7-1 win at York Thursday. 
Erin Mank led the team with four goals, bringing her season total to 24 scored this season. Melanie Tanaka scored two goals for Christopher, while Maddie Gullen and Clare McCarry each had one. 
The Cougars (11-2-1 overall) await their seeding for the Central Coast Section playoffs. Brackets will be released Monday and play begins Thursday.
