The Gavilan women’s basketball team’s struggles continued with a 63-29 loss at home Wednesday. It’s the team’s ninth straight.
The Rams were in striking distance at half, trailing 31-23. But Gavilan was held to just six points after the break, putting a victory out of reach. 
Kelsey Caudill led the Rams with 10 points, including two 3-pointers, and picked up nine rebounds and a block. Adreianna Casteneda led the defense with 15 rebounds, two steals and a block.
Gavilan will be back on the court at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hartnell in Salinas.

De Anza drops Gavilan
The Gavilan men’s basketball team lost its 11th straight game, an 85-67 decision to the visiting DeAnza Wednesday.

The Rams (1-13, 0-3) will next play at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Hartnell.
