After a suspect’s vehicle was identified in connection with two auto burglaries at the Morgan Hill Community Recreational Center, a Morgan Hill police investigation led officers to their suspect in the early morning of New Year’s Eve, police said.
MHPD officers caught up with Arthur Quinones, 43, of Gilroy, on Dec. 31 and, following a short chase on foot and subsequent search of his residence that turned up multiple items of stolen property from Morgan Hill, Gilroy and Campbell, arrested him, according to a press release from Morgan Hill Police Department.
Quinones was booked at Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of burglary, possession of stolen property and resisting arrest, police said.
“Morgan Hill Police Department wants to remind everyone to remove valuable items out of plain view when they park their vehicle,” concludes the press release advisory, titled “Caught Red Handed.”
